FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release)Feb 14, 2007 – Baoxiniao, a Chinese company which pioneered the use of franchising in men’s wear, has seen steady 80-90% growth since it was started in 1996. It has 3,500 employees, produces 800,000 suits a year and has an annual turnover of US$120 mn. 90% of its production is for the domestic market but it sees its future growth in selling its own brands abroad.

Bosideng is the largest manufacturer of down clothing in China and its two leading brands have captured 25% of the domestic market. It has 10,000 employees and turns out 5 mn pieces a year. Although it primarily produces for the domestic market, the company’s exports reached US$40 mn in 2003 and it is hoping to expand them further.

Dayang is one of China’s largest garment manufacturers with over 15 factories and an annual output of 10 mn pieces. It has entered into a number of joint ventures with foreign companies. These will substantially increase its production and allow it to meet the expected growth in both the domestic and export markets.

Ever-Glory International’s export business has grown by 30% a year since it began in 1993. It has offices overseas and factories in Vietnam and Cambodia as well as in China. With 6,000 employees and an annual turnover of US$80 mn, it has increased its manufacturing facilities in anticipation of the termination of the quota system at the end of 2004 and is well placed to expand production for both the domestic and export markets.
