Heim’s unique manufacturing process produces races uninterrupted by splits or slots. The full complement of balls offers a significant capacity advantage over caged or split-ring designs.
While Heim ball bearings are unground, their burnished races provide far smoother operation than other unground bearings. This often allows a Heim design to be used in place of precision ground bearings in many applications. The Heim unground ball bearings are also manufactured to accommodate for housing variations and eliminates the need for precision housing fit ups which are required for precision ground ball bearings. Unibal bearings are available in plain, flanged OD, and extra capacity to allow clevis mounting. They are offered in all the standard bearing sizes, plus special configurations.
