Optimize your Web Page for Search Engines with Meta Data

Learn How to Optimize your Web Page for Search Engines - Part 2 (Meta Data: Title, Keywords & Description)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb 02, 2007 -
We learned in the pervious lesson how to optimize our web pages for search engines by providing good and unique content, by choosing a related folder and file name to the page content, by taking care of the text formatting and finally by adding a descriptive text to our images and balancing between the density of text the number of images on each page..

And today I will show you the importance of the Meta Data.

What is the Meta Data?

It is simply a Structured Data which is Used To Describe Other Data.

What does this mean?

This means that we should provide some information in our web pages for the search engines to help in the indexing and the ranking of our pages.

How can I achieve that?

Remember when we learned the basic skills of building our first web page using HTML? Well, you need to add to your knowledge some 3 simple HTML tags (also known as Meta Tags) which you will require to add every time while building any new page.
