New Delhi , India (January 19, 2007) – NetEdge today announced it has attained the Information Worker Solutions Competency under the Microsoft Partner Program. This is NetEdge's third Microsoft Competency in addition to its Networking Infrastructure Solutions Competency and Advanced Infrastructure Solutions Competency.

Achieving the Microsoft Competency requires a combination of employee technical certifications, multiple customer references and other business measures. The competency is designed to enable Business Partners meet customer needs and align their market opportunities with five specializations within the Information Worker Solutions competency. These specializations include: Messaging and Collaboration, Office System Desktop Deployment, Enterprise Project Management, Portals and Enterprise Content Management and Office Smart Client Development. NetEdge has achieved competency in Microsoft's Office System Desktop Deployment and also plans to align this with Microsoft's Portals and Enterprise Content Management which supports the company's Knowledge Management Portfolio.
The Microsoft competency is designed to help Partners build customer solutions using programs that can help in better managing, prioritizing and collaborating on increasing volumes of information. In addition, the competency provides access to special learning opportunities, including early access to software betas, guidance on deploying information worker solutions, access to relevant online partner resources, and invitations to solution-focused webcasts.
Microsoft Competencies are designed to align Partner Programs with marketing initiatives and assist in building stronger business relationships with Microsoft Partners. Competencies are awarded based on in-depth technical and business expertise, and awarded in various areas of specialization to demonstrate proficiency and position a Partner's unique skills to customers.
