Mr. Alessandria goes on to say that “we are proud that attendees and vendors from around the United States and Canada travel to the Steel City Con (a.k.a. Pittsburgh Toy, Comic & Childhood Collectibles Show). The Steel City Con is the only convention in the United States that consistently gives a collectible item(s) away at every convention to its first 1,000 attendees. The Steel City Con is by far one of the most reasonably priced conventions of this type for both attendees and for dealers. Mr. Alessandria goes on to say “if we can offer vendors dealer space at a low cost then they’ll be able to sell their items to our attendees for much less than conventions that charge huge amounts of money for dealer space.” General Admission for attendees is only $7 and dealer space is available for only $75.
As in previous conventions, attendees can expect to be treated to a great time. At every convention Entertainment Celebrities, Wrestling Celebrities and Comic Book Artists are brought in for fans to meet and get autographs. Show Specials are offered by the promoter to attendees who are looking for some great buys. Additionally, attendees can buy a ticket for $1 to get a chance to win $2,000 worth of collectible toys in the convention’s Charity Prize Drawing Event. All proceeds from this event go to the charity. This is just one of many reasons that the Steel City’s tag line is “Where Pop Culture Rules!”
