LOS ANGELES, CA (January 26, 2007)— After acting in over 30 television commercials for companies such as: Apple Computers, 7-UP, and Mitsubishi Motors, Herath has started earning a name for himself locally in the Los Angeles area. In the summer of 2006, Willie released his first full studio album titled, “Cohgie Never Landed.”
Willie Herath’s music is an upbeat mix of guitar rock/pop that some say is the perfect blend between Weezer and Jack Johnson. “Nod your head beach rock is what I call it,” says Willie. “Cohgie Never Landed” has been doing extremely well and currently, the first song on the album titled “Sticky Flip-Flop” is slowly but surely climbing the charts. The song is at number 8 in the TOP 100 and the full album has had over 160,000 plays on Indie911.com.
