Toth Mold/Die Inc. enlisted the services of RBD Design and Consulting to assist with the part and mold design. The new stock design added the following features: two water tight storage compartments, three mounting rails, vertical grip, recoil pad, seven position adjustable rear stock, and 1/2" cheek riser. The polymer Toth Mold/Die Inc. selected was EMS Grivory GV-5H, a 50% glass-filled resin.
The "Super Stock" consists of 22 molded parts. In all, ten individual molds were created to produce the parts. The project completion took a total of six months from concept to finish.
Toth Mold/Die Inc. was approached by Christie & Christie Enterprises, Inc. also of Cleveland, Ohio with a concept to create a custom polymer 1022 Ruger Rifle "Super Stock" to replace the original wood stock. President, Ken Christie's objective was to create a "Super Stock" with added features not available on the original wood stock.
