Toronto, ON—January 19/2007 – Trying to come up with and creating a design for a model train layout is one of the first stumbling blocks, among many, for the new and experienced model railroader. Not knowing where and how to start can end someone’s modeling aspirations quickly. Finding the right information to start your model railroad can be difficult.

“I had a devil of a time finding the right information on starting my very own model railroad,” said Mark Ransome, a 39 year old form Ajax, Ontario. “It was my son who led me to do some research on the internet, allowing me to discover this great resource.”

Mark had been trying to find information about the proper steps to creating a great model train setup for his situation. Living in a small back-split with his wife and two boys didn’t leave a lot of room for a train set.

Like most people who are trying to get started with a model train hobby the sheer volume of information available at libraries and bookstores is daunting and geared towards the more experienced modeler. Without the time to sift through the mass of information and the experience to know what to look for, the average beginner would have a difficult time discovering what he needed.

Mark was able to overcome this problem with the help of an online resource. “Without the help of this book and online resource, I would have been lost,” said Mark
