Wayne Brown Institute To Host This Year's First "How to Raise Money in Utah" Entrepreneurial Seminar

In an effort to help Utah entrepreneurs plan for and achieve financial funding goals in 2007, the Wayne Brown Institute (WBI) today announced this year's first "How to Raise Money in Utah" seminar, to be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Neumont University in South Jordan, Utah.

Venture experts Karl Israelsen (Stoel Rives LLP), Dale Richards (Excel Management) and Devin Thorpe (Thorpe Capital Group) will each address the key elements of raising money in Utah, including how and when service professionals add value. Following the presentations, an "anything goes" question and answer session will be opened to the audience.

"Fundraising hindsight is always 20/20," said Brad Bertoch, president and CEO of WBI. "Our venture experts will share valuable experiences that will not only give entrepreneurs a basic understanding of the fundraising process but will hopefully help them avoid fundraising pitfalls in the upcoming year."
