Paul Stanton the host of Home Business Radio, wanted his Internet and Ipod listeners to hear a more down to earth, easy and simple way to invest their hard earned money, so he turned to ebook author, Robert Bishop. Robert’s book, “The Truth About Investing: Build Your Bulletproof Portfolio” has been a smash success, being sold on his website, www.helpinvestingmoney.com.

Mr. Bishop replied that he was tired of not getting his questions answered by his broker and realized that his returns were very lackluster. So, he decided to take matters into his own hands and read everything there was to read about investing. After doing his research, he came to the simple conclusion that investing was not very difficult. In fact, it was easy. The problem, Mr. Bishop explained, is that the investing industry wants investors to be confused so they do not ask the right questions. According to Mr. Bishop, the industry knows that if the right questions are actually asked, the investor may not like to hear the answers. So, the investment industry tries to keep investment products and decisions complicated.

In his book, “The Truth about Investing: Build your Bulletproof Portfolio”, Mr. Bishop outlines exactly where and how to invest your money. He spends great effort on simplifying how brokers get paid. More importantly, he describes in horrifying detail, exactly how the fees charged to an investor in the form of MER’s in mutual funds, can take thousands and thousands of dollars out of an average investor’s pocket. On the Home Business Radio interview, Mr. Bishop outlined for Mr. Stanton, exactly how brokers often recommend high fee investment products to their clients because, being 100% commission sales people, it is in their best interest to recommend higher fee products, as it makes them more money. Mr. Bishop pointed out to Paul’s Home Business Radio listeners that their brokers may not have their best interests in mind.

At the end of the program, Mr. Bishop related that three of the top investing gurus in finance, Warren Buffett, Peter Lynch and Charles Schwab, all recommended index funds as the core and most effective investment products to place in their portfolio. Mr. Bishop, however, stated that he felt it unlikely that any of Paul’s listeners actually had any index funds in their portfolio. Food for thought…
