January 6, 2007 (RALEIGH, NC) -- Carolina Custom Golf, a golf equipment and accessories store with locations in Raleigh, Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Pineville and Cary, has signed on to sell the new Hold-N-One® golf bag holder, created by The Other Edge, Inc. in Raleigh, to solve the problem of top-heavy golf bags falling over easily.
Hold-N-One® is a wall-mounted device that, through a simple spring-action motion, grabs the mouth of a golf bag to keep it firmly upright. Until now, it has been distributed in the U.S. only through online retailers and the gift shop in the Exploris Museum in downtown Raleigh. Carolina Custom Golf, with two locations in Raleigh (1319 Capital Boulevard and 9600 Strickland Road), is the product’s first “bricks and mortar” retail distributor.
“We’re certain Hold-N-One® will appeal to both women and men,” said product designer Donald Corey of The Other Edge, “because it saves space and the money you’d have to spend on new clubs and bags when they’re ruined. Besides, golfers hate tripping -- or worse, driving -- over their clubs!”
The Other Edge will introduce Hold-N-One® to the national golf community during the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida, later this month (booth #4089). The PGA Show is the world's most influential golf equipment event, where PGA professionals, retailers, golf manufacturers and industry leaders gather to book orders, train, educate and discuss ideas to increase retail sell-through and grow participation in the game of golf.
Corey, whose heritage is Australian, successfully introduced his product in Sydney in August during “Workshopped ‘06,” part of Australia’s premier design festival. It is now being distributed throughout Australia, Europe and Asia by Swingmaster-
