"The Profiles Series"announces Special Program on Autism in America
In response to President Bush’s recent signing of the Combating Autism Act of 2006, The Profiles Series announces the production of a special edition program in efforts to bring more and much needed media attention to this emerging American health crisis.

With recent statistics from the U.S. Department of Education and other governmental agencies showing that autism is growing at a startling rate of 10-17 percent per year, and estimates that the prevalence of autism could reach 4 million Americans in the next decade, this special program will feature those personally affected by this heart-breaking disorder and the dedicated researchers, physicians, organizations, and individuals that are at the forefront of efforts to combat, and hopefully cure Autism.
