Geeks In A Flash!® Donates $48,000 to Boys and Girls Club of America

Wilmington, NC (PRWEB) December 8, 2006 -- Today, Wilmington-based Geeks In A Flash!® donated $48,000 to the Community Boys and Girls Club of Wilmington, a local charter of Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

The donation of IT services ("Geekification™") will go towards upgrading and maintaining the Club's existing network which was greatly in need of professional service. "As an organization that depends heavily on generous donations, having an IT person on staff is just not possible," said Wayne Lofton, Executive Director and Chief Professional Officer of the Community Boys and Girls Club of Wilmington.

"We not only help businesses with their IT needs, but as part of the Geeks In A Flash!® philosophy, we try to give back to the community whenever possible," says CEO and founder Manuel W. Lloyd.

With this donation, Geeks In A Flash!® became the official IT partner for the Wilmington charter. The details were worked out this past week at the new Geeks In A Flash!® Franchise "Geekdom™" Support Center on New Centre Drive.

"Without such donations from companies like Geeks In A Flash!®, we wouldn't be able to provide as many educational and career preparation programs for the children," says Lofton. "Manny and his team of IT experts have really stepped up to the plate for us and we are grateful for them."

"It's great to know that by 'Geekifying™' their infrastructure we will eliminate their IT headaches so Mr. Lofton and his staff can focus on what is most important, continuing their outstanding work here in the Wilmington community."
