Stories about collecting music of all kinds are sought for the website - www.musiccollecting.com. Interesting stories about collecting records LPs - 33 1/3 rpm, 45 rpm, 78 rpm), sheet music, music photographs, music posters, books about music, etc. are wanted to illustrate the great hobby of music collecting. Humorous, poignant and revealing stories as well as those concerning large collections, rare collections, unusual collections, collections of importance to historians, etc. are of particular interest. How was the collection developed - when and why did the collection start, how is it maintained, where is it situated, how does your wife, partner, children deal with it, etc.?
The site seeks stories from collectors and is not a place for dealers to sell their wares. Well-written stories of any length may be accepted and may be edited. All stories submitted and accepted will be posted by name, city and state unless advised otherwise. Also, stories may be posted anonymously.
