Australian Clothing Label Sponsors The Next Big Thing in Australian Rock

In a move that industry pundits have termed “culturally significant”, Australian clothing label Shirticus earlier this week finalised a sponsorship deal with Australian rock band, Swayback.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Nov 22, 2006 – Perth, Western Australia, Adelaide, South Australia, November, 2006

In a move that industry pundits have termed “culturally significant”, Australian clothing label Shirticus earlier this week finalised a sponsorship deal with Australian rock band, Swayback. The financial details of the deal are as yet undisclosed, but a source close to the band has said, “I have seen a lot of zeros” and the term “Nike-esque” has been used by leading analysts.

The deal will see Swayback and Shirticus run a series of cross promotional campaigns to publicise the bands latest musical offering, "The Quest for Rock & Roll" (on Half A Cow Records), and the clothing label’s new summer range.

The trans Australian union will result in a series of competitions, concerts, giveaways and shameless promotional stunts beginning this weekend when Swayback’s “The Quest for the West” WA tour begins.

The sultans of swagger rock are set to light the stage on fire when they play with the likes of New Zealands kings of rock, The Datsuns and local favourites, Sansangria, The Novocaines, The Volcanics, Gigantic, The Jayco Brothers. The tour kicks of on November 25th and runs through to the 3rd of December. Full tour details are available on the Swayback website.

Shirticus, the hottest thing since the sun in Australian street wear, has just released its summer catalogue comprising sixteen of the coolest t-shirt designs available this season. Shirticus favourites such as the enormously popular “Let’s All Be Robots”, and “Prawnstar” tees are joined by the soon to be summer hits, “Wuckfit”, “Couch Tomato” and “Smokin’ Factory”.

Shirticus and Swayback are set to shake Australia with a two pronged rock attack. Hop on board or get out of the way as this is going to be LOUD!
