Hazardous area connection specialist, Hawke International has achieved type approvals for its complete range of hazardous area cable glands from Det Norske Veritas (DNV). One of the world’s leading marine classification societies, DNV provide a range of testing, certification and technical services for risk reduction in marine and offshore operations.
The latest approval for Hawke International compliments the recent receipt of marine type approval from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and is in addition to existing approvals from ATEX, BASEEFA, GOST, UL, CEPEL, and CSA. The new approval will give users additional reassurance when selecting Hawke cable glands for use in DNV listed offshore oil and gas installations and FPSO vessels.
