New Section for Marca/Paso(s) webzine

San Juan, Puerto Rico – Marca/Paso(s), the independent Puerto Rican webzine created by Raúl J. Feliciano, now has a section dedicated to de-constructing visual and textual statements that continue to foster colonialism in Puerto Rico.

“Colonialismos”, the new section, features images and quotes that have appeared in mainstream Puerto Rican media. These ‘texts’ are analyzed within the context of the colonial situation of the Island.

“Colonialism is so pervasive in people’s psyche that most of the times they don’t realize how their words are an instrument of the colonial apparatus. They may find them totally normal, until you start digging deep,” finalized Feliciano.
