Seven Days To Reinvent The Short Story

Legend Press has announced details of the hotly-anticipated Seven Days, due to be launched on 3rd February.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct 31, 2006 -
The collection of stories by seven different writers has been tailor-made for the modern reader as the push to revive short fiction in the mainstream market continues.

Seven Days consists of seven stories, chosen from hundreds of submissions by writers ranging from prize-winners to first-timers, each following a single character for a single day. The collection provides incredible diversity with each story offering a very different insight and the format is designed for the modern reader who desires everything more compact and quickly accessible.

The publication has already received a great deal of support and will be backed by a strong publicity campaign. The collection is a development from the popular The Remarkable Everyday, which Legend Press published in October 2005, and the publisher is confident the book will make a major mark in the highly-competitive mainstream market.

Tom Chalmers, Managing Director of Legend Press, commented: “Seven Days is the perfect bridge between the novel and the short story – offering the benefits of both formats. When books stood alone, publishers become understandably lazy, but now with an array of different entertainment sources to compete with they are having to look at what best fits modern society. Seven Days offers a diversity that any reader, no matter what age or gender, can enjoy.”
