Parish Data System Acquires The Minister Program To Enhance Array Of Services

Florence, SC, October 27, 2006—As the largest provider of church management software for Catholic parishes and dioceses in the United States, Parish Data System (PDS) has acquired the software program known as “The Minister Program” from Tom Hayes, sole proprietor and programmer who developed this solution for the Catholic market over 20 years ago. The program is a tool designed to coordinate assignments for ministers managing the various operations required to support Sunday or weekly liturgies. PDS plans to connect this industry recognized program as part of its PDS Church Office™ solution.

PDS and Mr. Hayes came to an agreement that the timing was right in the market for PDS to add the scheduling module to the PDS set of offerings. The program will now be known as PDS Ministry Scheduler™ and fully supported by PDS. Over time, PDS Ministry Scheduler will be enhanced and integrated into the PDS Church Office module and will be supported through the Preferred Client Program.
