FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) – San Ramon-based ex-pats Alex Race and Andrew Mastrandonas announced today the formation of Boomers in Costa Rica Tours, along with the launch of their website, “Boomers in Costa Rica” (www.boomersincostarica.com).

Boomers in Costa Rica Tours (BICRT) are designed to fill a gap in the current offering of retirement/relocation tours in Costa Rica by focusing not only on North American and European retirees considering moving here, but the many baby boomers who will soon retire or wish to invest or start a new business in Costa Rica.

“For many years, most of the foreigners moving to Costa Rica permanently were those people from the U.S. or Canada who just wanted to retire and live a simple, quiet life here,” said Alex Race, co-founder of BICRT. “Now, however, we’re finding that more and more younger people want to escape the ‘rat race’ in North America and Europe and they’re finding that Costa Rica is a nearly perfect environment in which to live, start a business, or even continue their home-based businesses, using the power of the Internet. Our tours cater to the growing number of foreigners, particularly Baby Boomers, considering moving here, “ Race said.

BICRT’s 4-day, 3-night, all-inclusive tour covers major towns in the Central Valley of Costa Rica and focuses on providing detailed information on every aspect of living and investing here. The tour provides an in-depth look at several developments and land investment opportunities where value-oriented real estate can still be found and also introduces clients to people who have already moved here, started businesses, or are just enjoying the good life. Contacts with reputable attorneys, architects, and other professionals are also part of the tour.

Unlike other Costa Rica relocation tours, BICRT provides each client with a take-home CD full of information about moving to, and living in Costa Rica. BICRT also offers a follow-on relocation service, handling all aspects of starting a new life in Costa Rica after their clients move here. BICRT can also arrange custom tours for those people wanting to see areas outside of the standard tour, or for those people wanting to spend more time in particular areas.

Race and Mastrandonas have been scouting out properties and organizing the details of the tour for months to ensure they offer the highest quality service possible. BICRT are focused on the very best land and home values in the Central Valley, calling them “Boomers Best,” and have narrowed down their selection to several key real estate offerings where they believe there is significant value. “There are many land developers and real estate agents in Costa Rica who sell a wide spectrum of properities. However, not all properties offer good initial value or re-sale value. We’ve selected only a dozen or so properties with developers and agents we believe are the best, focusing on their track record, and most importantly, their integrity, “ Race said.

“We’re excited about Boomers In Costa Rica,” said Ben Cart, a long-time resident and developer who runs Iguana Land Company near San Ramon (www.iguanalandcompany.com) and plans to work closely with Mastrandonas and Race. “This type of tour is sorely needed in Costa Rica. It’s the right time as opportunities for baby boomers are just endless here.”

Mastrandonas, a former airline industry executive, also runs a bed and breakfast, “Angel Valley Farm B&B,” in Los Angeles Sur, near San Ramon. Race moved to Costa Rica with her husband Davide, after a successful career in the U.S. which included small business ownership and experience in technology and investment management.

“We’re both very excited about launching Boomers in Costa Rica Tours,” Mastrandonas said. “It is amazing after living here for some time, how much information one stores—little things you just won’t find on the Internet—about moving here and living here. We love living in Costa Rica and doing these tours provides us with an opportunity to share with others our excitement about Costa Rica and what we’ve learned here. Plus, we enjoy meeting new people!”

Mastrandonas and Race also maintain a blog about living in Costa Rica, “Boomers in Costa Rica Blog” at www.costaricarealestate.typepad.com. Mastrandonas also has a widely read personal blog that chronicles, on a weekly basis, his life in Costa Rica, starting with his decision to leave his fast-charging corporate career to move here.
