Singer/Songwriter Miss Amy released "My Precious One" earlier this year. Everyday 1 in 8 babies born in the US arrives too soon. This happened to Miss Amy’s son, born 10 1/2 weeks premature. But, thanks to research funded by the March of Dimes, today her son is a success story.
Premature birth affects almost 500,000 babies each year, and the number has risen 29% since 1981. No one knows what causes half of all premature births, but no one is working harder than March of Dimes to find out.
