FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) –
SINGAPORE, 12 OCTOBER, 2006: The Logistics & Supply Chain Management Society is pushing forward international links in the Logistics industry with a Salary Survey.
The Society has joined forces with eyefortransport, the world’s leading provider of Logistics and Transportation information and services to conduct this survey and will together invite leading organisations globally to participate in this collaborative initiative. The survey, which takes 5-7 minutes to complete, will be made available in an industry report, which will be released at the 3rd China Logistics Summit to be held in Shanghai, China on the 13th of March 2007. All respondents are guaranteed that all responses will be treated in the strictest confidence and will not be released individually to any third party – data will only be viewed and analysed in a cumulative format with Logistics Recruitment Consultancy – Europhia. In addition, every person who completes the survey will have access to a summary of the final results one month prior to its release. This survey aims to provide: an overview of salaries within the Logistics and Supply Chain Management industry a correlation between salary level and age, experience, education level and gender an insight into key trends of salary development within the industry It is also intended that this initiative will provide a comparison between countries to support investment decisions on infrastructure, warehouses, hubs and contract manufacturing. It also aims to assist in allowing the tracking of salary trends in relation to economic growth and logistics industry growth in each country. In addition to the objectives outlined above, this survey will mark another step forward in international collaboration in a currently fragmented profession. The current landscape is a scenario with a number of associations, interest groups and organisations. This survey will allow these industry stakeholders to collaborate and work together under a unified platform in research that will provide valuable feedback to individuals, government and companies. Raymon Krishnan, the President of the Logistics & Supply Chain Society welcomed this initiative in a speech he gave at a seminar on Warehouse Management conducted by the Society in September. “The Annual Logistics Salary Survey is a significant development. Not only will the data provide relevant information to individuals and companies but will hopefully result in continuous, ongoing research collaboration between other interest groups and the Logistics Society. I am very excited by this development and look forward to working with any interested party in making this Survey a success.” For further information, please contact Nicolas Murray Director – Professional Development Tel : +65.6222 5280 Fax : +65.6222 5275 e-mail : nicolas@lscms.org web : http://www.lscms.org
