Cyril Stern Joins Ciao as Director of Panels
Munich, Germany, October 5, 2006 – Greenfield Online, Inc. (Nasdaq: SRVY), a leading provider of Internet-survey solutions worldwide, today announced that its Ciao Internet survey solutions business has strengthened its management team with the promotion of several key sales and marketing executives within its European organization. In addition, the company has hired a new Director of Panels. These promotions and the new hire, strengthen the company’s position with experienced and energized sales and marketing leadership in key European markets.
In recognition of each of their successes and experience, the company has promoted the following managers in order to establish the strongest sales and marketing leadership possible in key European markets:
• Richard Thornton is promoted to VP Client Development for the UK & Ireland, Australia and
Southern Europe, including France.
• Bernd Hacker is promoted to VP Client Development for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the
Benelux and the Nordics countries.
• Christophe Deguignet will become Director Client Development for Southern Europe (France,
Italy and Spain).
• Tom Meyritz has been named to the position of Head of New Channel Development for
Europe.
• Emmanuel Bertrand is promoted to Senior Marketing Director, Ciao Internet Survey Solutions.
In September, Cyril Stern joined Ciao as Director of Panels, based in Paris. An experienced online
panel researcher and entrepreneur with a marketing research background, Stern joined Ciao from
PTV Online, the Internet company he successfully founded and sold. Stern began his career as a
consultant for GfK Marketing Services in Paris. Working with the global panel team, Stern will
continue to develop and implement the company’s strategy to improve the quality and reach of its
panels worldwide and develop innovative ideas for recruiting survey respondents.
In addition, Ciao has established the new position of Director of Global Pricing Strategy to bring
greater focus on this critical element of the business. Leslie Abell, previously a Ciao Client
Development Director, is taking on this role effective immediately. Abell will work with both the Ciao and Greenfield Online teams and establish a global pricing model. Abell brings deep knowledge of the company’s clients, markets and services to this new position.
