Gayle Gaggero, CEO and Chef of Kids Culinary Adventures (KCA), reports that Nicole Zambrano has joined the elite staff of KCA as their Nutritionist. The addition of a staff nutritionist at KCA provides increased insight, assuring development of nutritionally sound classes and events to benefit KCA students and their families.
Zambrano is a native of Palo Alto, California. Nicole obtained her bachelor’s degree in nutrition, with a concentration in culinary arts, from California Polytechnic State University. She has dedicated her career to increasing children’s awareness of nutrition as she has worked through a variety of programs including teaching nutrition for government funded Head Start preschool programs. Nicole has also authored and designed a cookbook to share nutritionally sound recipes. This experience makes Nicole an ideal fit for KCA as she has experience working closely with children.
“We are thrilled to welcome Nicole aboard. Having a nutritionist on staff brings a valuable perspective to our team. Nicole’s experience in research and education along with her credentials as a cookbook author made her the right choice for us,” states Gaggero.
Zambrano’s tasks at KCA include writing curriculum, developing healthy eating classes, and standardizing preparation guidelines for nutritional classes.
“I joined KCA because I want to educate children and parents alike. We all know that parents can set examples for children in terms of nutrition. The reality is that children also can set examples for their parents. When children lead the way to good nutrition, parents follow,” asserts Zambrano.
