Standby Wizard Offers Disaster Recovery for Oracle 10g Release 2

Relational Database Consultants Inc. (RDC) proudly announces the release of the Standby Wizard for Oracle 10g Release 2.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Oct 05, 2006 -
Relational Database Consultants Inc. (RDC) proudly announces the release of the Standby Wizard for Oracle 10g Release 2. The Standby Wizard is a GUI-based intelligent disaster-recovery tool that automates the creation, maintenance and fail-over functions of Oracle’s standby database paradigm. With the Standby Wizard you can create an unlimited number of duplicate databases from your production database.

The Standby Wizard for Oracle is designed to offer an alternative to Oracle’s Data Guard Technology and Asolutions’ Dbvist.

“The Standby Wizard is much easier to implement than its competitors – it has more features and runs on more platforms” says RDC marketing director Don Parret. “Our customers have experienced a 95 percent reduction in man hours needed to create and maintain an Oracle standby database.”

Along with the disaster-recovery and high-availability features of the Standby Wizard, the product is ideal for QA and testing efforts. Minh Tran, an engineer for Ingersoll-Rand, says: “The Standby Wizard allows us to create perfect copies of any database that we need to test. I will never use one of those confusing data population tools again – they are obsolete!”

Free 30-day evaluations of the Standby Wizard are available for download at:
