For IMMEDIATE release!

No More Weight Loss Ads on HAES Yahoo! Group

Yahoo! Is the first major Internet provider to strike a blow for fat civil rights online by agreeing to eliminate all diet and weight loss ads from a Health At Every Size group. Groups that work for an end to weight-based discrimination have long used Yahoo! Groups for internet-based community building. These communications have been interrupted by weight-loss ads that are anathema to our health beliefs and civil rights purpose.
