(Palo Alto, California) August 28, 2006 — While most consumer electronics companies launch products that are driven by technology, new Maverick Lifestyle Corporation drives technology by design. Maverick was founded to create beautiful, innovative devices that exemplify modernism. It is with this appreciation of effortless sophistication and style that Maverick Lifestyle Corporation announces their first product launch, the Nica Headset – a wireless Bluetooth Headset that combines fashionable industrial design with ease and functionality. Nica is the newest addition to the increasingly popular Style Technology category. An elegant, boomless Bluetooth headset, Nica’s circular design is easy to put on and includes precious metals and jewelry-derived materials. Similar to a stereo headset, Nica’s elegant open-air design offers a soft foam pad with no protrusion inside the ear. Uniquely convenient, charging and connections are carefree with Nica whether at home, work or in the car. For the initial launch, Maverick Nica will come in orange, blue, cream, black and white combinations and will be sold via their corporate website at www.mavericklifestyle.com. The Nica Headset retails for $179 and comes with a home charging dock and AC Adapter. Nica’s Car Dock accessory, ideal for charging on-the-go, is sold separately for $89.
Maverick seeks to move beyond the techie designs that dominate the existing headset category. “Today with an increasing number of mobile phones shipping with Bluetooth capability, Nica is timely, modern and innovative,”
Nica’s technical improvements include a patented acoustic design with a DSP (Digital Signal Processor) to cancel out background noise, conversations and wind. The microphone is now inside the circular housing and allows for the boomless, circular shape. The Maverick Nica Headset and Car Dock System includes the Bluetooth Headset along with a magnetic attachment to the Home Charging Dock and Car Dock, providing effortless charging for Nica. Gone are the days where you have to remember to charge your headset or fumble carrying multiple chargers. The Nica Headset eliminates the difficulties by firmly attaching to either Dock and is always charging whether powered on or off. The convenient Car Dock offers Auto-Connect, so when the user opens the car door, the headset is triggered to connect to the phone. The Car Dock may be mounted in a variety of ways in the car including plugging directly to the cigarette lighter. Nica combined with the home and car charging options is sure to dominate the hands-free Bluetooth category.
