Top Executive of Eaton Corporation Joins Communities In Schools of NC Board of Directors

PR Log (Press Release) – Sep 27, 2006 – (Raleigh, NC)– Communities In Schools of North Carolina (CISNC) has announced the addition of Suzanne Burns, Vice President of Eaton Corporation, to its Board of Directors. The Board of Directors for CISNC provides direction in planning and policy decisions, oversees financial development and monitors implementation of goals and objectives of the non-profit to help ensure best practices and results. Board members also serve as advocates and spokespersons for CIS to the community at large.

Ms. Burns serves as Eaton Corporation's Vice President for global power quality business serving healthcare, IT and telephony markets. Formerly, she was Integration Director for Eaton’s $2 billion acquisition of Aeroquip-Vickers and Director-International Development where she established fifteen start-up investments in China, Korea and Brazil. She has extensive experience in selecting, integrating and running global businesses and, as a former consultant with A.T. Kearney, Inc., advised companies such as General Electric, Xerox and Bayer.
