Photographers Donate Artwork for Children’s Hunger Fundraiser at Westlake’s Hyatt

Photographers donate artwork to help fight children’s hunger in an event at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza, October 29, 2006. The event will be an auction-style fundraiser.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA-- 9/26/2006-- PHOTOS FOR HUNGER™ is a photography exhibit and auction created by Bill Margulies, a local photographer from Camarillo. The event is set for October 29, 2006 at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza. All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Children’s Hunger Fund: www.childrenshungerfund.org.

In addition to local supporters, out-of-state photographers have also come together to help fight children’s hunger- one photo at a time. In addition to the photographs, sponsor donated items will be offered at both silent and live auctions. The following photographers have kindly donated artwork to be auctioned off during the event.

Luca Battaglia, photographer from New Mexico who handcrafts frames from metal, incorporating the frame and photograph into a unified piece of artwork. www.galleriab.com

Doug Doldy, an award winning photographer from Washington specializing in landscapes, seascapes and large format panoramas. www.painted-with-light.com

Youssef Ismail from Campbell, CA, captures brilliant light in landscape photography. www.organiclightphoto.com

DeWitt Jones, award winning photographer from Windsor, California and regularly featured writer in Outdoor Photographer magazine. www.dewittjones.com

Kelli Knack is a local photographer from Thousand Oaks with talents that involve amazing hand coloring of black and white originals. www.kelliknack.com

Margaret Malandruccolo, an LA-based award-winning photographer known for distinctive emotional vision and lush photographic imagery. www.mmfoto.com

Michael Margulies, from Boise, Idaho, is a photo journalist and cinema photographer; will be displaying one of the last photos of Bobby Kennedy before his assassination.

Ira Meyer, from Oxnard, CA, published in National Geographic; has outstanding works from his trips to Antarctica. www.irameyer.com

Jorge Vera, Florida-based photographer back from a recent trip to South America where he documented environmental changes taking places in the Andes Mountains. www.photo.net/photos/jorgevera

Joe Virnig, photographer specializing in scenic photography of Ventura County. www.venturacountyvistas.com

The charity’s organizer, Bill Margulies stated, “I appreciate everyone’s hard work and donations. I hope that our efforts will come together to make a difference in these children’s lives.”
