It is common knowledge that kids are notoriously difficult to entertain during those long summer holidays and this was something that Carol Hennis witnessed first hand as her kids pottered aimlessly around the house over the summer months. "I don't think I have heard the words 'I'm bored, mum' so often in my life," says Carol "the kids would constantly moan about having nothing to do and anything that I suggested was, inevitably, not something they were willing to try! This is when I came across a website called Scuba Nation and when I suggested Scuba Diving to them, they couldn't wait to give it a go!"
Scuba Diving is one of the UK's most popular recreational pursuits and its popularity is on the increase, largely due to increased exposure from websites such as Scuba Nation and also the growing number of venues at which to learn how to Scuba. "When I looked at Scuba Nation's website, I was quite surprised at how many venues I could choose from around my local area and they were really helpful in finding the right venue and package for my children," recalls Carol at her surprise at how extensive Scuba Nation's array of venues was.
"When we arrived at the venue, the kids couldn't wait to jump into the scuba gear and get under the water! I'd booked a Taster Dive session with Scuba Nation which was absolutely perfect for my kids as it gave them the skills and confidence in the water and showed them what Scuba Diving was all about...the kids were loving it," enthuses Carol, "they can't wait to go back again and learn new skills!".
When a summer of boredom looked on the cards, Carol Hennis counts her blessings that she stumbled across Scuba Nation and found a invigorating and enjoyable experience for her kids, "I dread to think what it would have been like if I didn't find Scuba Nation! It would have been 11 weeks of whining! Now, the kids can't wait for their next holidays so they can get into that wetsuit and snorkel again! It definitely beats them moping about the house!"
