The vision for this trip was given four weeks after we returned from northern Uganda, Africa working in the Gulu region -- This is an area which has been heavily impacted by the war. While there we conducted Trauma Training for those who have also been impacted by the war. Our objective was accomplished:
GPH3 has noticed that, given the nature of the work done by counselors, clergy, civil servants, and psychosocial support providers helping the Katrina victims and survivors, they are indeed also highly vulnerable to primary and secondary trauma. Many of these individuals who themselves survived the Katrina storm double as victims/survivors and at the same time still shouldered the responsibility of providing care to others
Sabrina Black has traveled to London, Romania, West Indies, Uganda, South Africa, Nigeria and a host of other countries extensively throughout the United States. She has worked in churches, prisons, schools, rape centers and orphanages with those stricken by poverty, war, and AIDS.
"Their (Global Project) purpose is to empower and assist people of all nations who experience economical, mental health, and social problems.”
This trip will further support Global Projects missions to help wherever there are hurting people.
