Nashville, TN - Autumn Records has announced that Matt & Sherry McPherson's debut radio single "Carry Me" is currently going for adds on Inspo and Praise & Worship stations nationwide. The song hails from the couple's upcoming project, Slow Down, which is set to release in January 2007. The album offers an eclectic musical variety, with a focus on living out our faith in our everyday lives. Themes presented include spending intimate time with God and celebrating His goodness, loving and praying for our families and witnessing to others. The project further reinforces the duo's reputation as talented musicians and messengers of the Gospel.
Although the album itself doesn't release until January, the music is already receiving an enthusiastic response. The duo also served as presenters during the pre-show events at The 37th Annual GMA Music Awards sharing the stage with the likes of Grammy and CMA Award winner Alison Krauss and Dove Award winners Chris Tomlin and The Crabb Family. Another song on the CD, "The Salvation Poem," has already won widespread acclaim, and the couple has been receiving requests from other artists to record the lyrical prayer on their own upcoming albums. Noted evangelist Franklin Graham was so impressed by the beautiful simplicity of the song's lyrics that he is now distributing pens imprinted with the poem as an outreach tool at his evangelistic events. Other respected organizations are also in talks to reproduce the poem on a wide variety of products to impact people with the salvation message.
