PRLog (Press Release)Sep 20, 2006 – China retail industry has been showing upward trends for quite some time now. Growth in this sector is particularly spurred by the changing buying patterns of consumers and rising per capita income in the country.

In 2005, total retail sales was above $755 billion in China and it has grown at a commendable pace in the first half of 2006. Urban and rural disposable incomes increased by 10.3% and 12%, respectively, in the first half of 2006 compared to same period a year earlier.

RNCOS has recently published a market research report named "China Retail Sector Analysis (2006-2007)". In this report RNCOS has provided a comprehensive analysis of every aspect of the retail industry in China.

As per the report, "Beijing, which is one of the major cities in China, has been looking for further boosting consumer spending. Beijing's retail sales climbed to $144.7 billion, during 2001-2005, with an annual increase of 11.8% on average. However, sales jumped to $35.71 billion in 2005, a growth of 10.7% compare to the previous year (2004)".

"At the end of 2005, China had 1341 foreign-invested retail enterprises, in total, with foreign input of $4.9 billion", said an analyst at RNCOS.

The market research report by RNCOS provides extensive research and objective analysis on China Retail Industry.
