Life in the Capital can be a stressful affair but one group of merchant bankers found a novel way of allieviating some of the pressures of their high profile jobs. Namely, they have decided to shoot each other with paintballs twice a week! Paul Grimshaw was one of the leading proponents of the idea to his boss who was more than willing to oblige as he could see the benefits of such a good team building exercise. "I remember telling my boss about a day of paintballing I went on for a Stag Do and how much fun it was. I suggested to him that we would benefit from weekly excursions and he'd agreed. Of course, he left it to me to do all the organising though!" explains Paul as he talks of how his company's unusual stress busting solution came to fruition.
"As it turns out, finding a suitable venue was completely effortless. I came across a Website called Capital Paintball and they had the best selection of London paintballing sites that I could find. It was so well laid out and easy to book, so arranging a bi-weekly paintballing event for our company was pretty simple really. I just gave them a call and Capital Paintball sorted me out with the most convienient venue. I can't tell you how satisfying it is planting paintballs on your boss and colleagues!" laughs Paul as he recollects the simplicity with which he was able to organise his company's paintballing battles with Capital Paintball.
"One of the best things was that Capital Paintball offered both indoor and outdoor venues, so we could tailor our needs dependent on weather conditions and so forth. This is ideal because sometimes we will need to come back to the office after going paintballing and being caked in mud isn't the image we want to portray! I don't think you can know how exhilarating paintballing can be until you've experienced both indoor and outdoor venues and we will definitely be visiting a fair few of the large number of venues Capital Paintball had on their website."
It is safe to say that there are a great many attractions in the nation's capital and so many things to see and do but Paul Grimshaw, for one, thinks he has found the best way to spend a day in London, "Paintballing is definitely the way forward! I'd recommend it to all the bosses in London, it has definitely boosted spirits in our camp and I can't wait for next weeks session!"
