We would like to give you brief technology highlights in this small release:
• Customization. Historically, large portion of Great Plains clients has Great Plains Dexterity customizations, some of them were written in Dexterity cursor driven manner, that was a compromise for Pervasive SQL and Ctree limitation, however in Microsoft SQL Server environment it might be inefficient and slow. Plus Dexterity customization should be revised to correspond to current technology trend: eConnect, .Net web design, SQL Stored Procedures, etc.
• Integration. Typical example would be e-Commerce, utilizing GP as Order Processing back server. We have unique technology, allowing you automatic posting of eCommerce transactions (typically created with eConnect) – Alba Spectrum Posting Server
• Upgrade. Typically this is straight forward procedure, however if you have customizations, ReportWriter reports, if you are on legacy Pervasive SQL or Ctree DB platform, plus if you utilize very old and not-supported third parties, such as Intellisol APOP or Project Accounting, or if you need migrate from Great Plains Accounting to GP – upgrade might be challenging enough
