Elephant on a Tightrope offers consumers a friendly French wine with an unforgettable and stylish branding at attractive pricing. Bottled in 750 ml format, the label features an elephant savouring a glass of wine on a tightrope, which represents the importance of « balance » in wine. This theme is echoed in POS materials and website (www.elephantonatightrope.com)
« We source our wines from family-operated estates throughout the regions of France based on quality, not the quantity produced », says Cindy Bearce, Marketing Manager for Solange de France, « By maintaining a long-term relationship with these estates, whose wines are produced from a single vineyard, we are assured of wines that remain true to terroir and of consistent quality from year to year ».
An “Elephant on a Tightrope” Chardonnay and a Cabernet Sauvignon from the Languedoc region are expected to be launched in Canada this Fall to be followed later in the year by a Grenache and a Syrah. Also available in this line are a selection of wines from Bordeaux, the Southwest and Beaujolais, including a Beaujolais Nouveau 2006.
