FIDO LOCAL announces expansion drive as part of 118 Group plc’s growth plans
Daniel Corby, the founder and CEO of 118 Group plc – the b2b services group responsible for 118trades, 118gethitched, 118telecoms, 118mobile and Fido Local, a new free to pick up community magazine has announced plans to launch the Fido Local brand across 6 more towns.
Speaking about the planned roll out, Daniel Corby said “Fido local, is a new free to pick up, full colour glossy publication with a ‘paid for’ look about it. The magazine is high on quality and covers topical editorial features and is packed with community based advertising with an emphasis on community offers. The 1st edition covering the Chelmsford area has been exceptionally well received, and we are absolutely confident now to commence plans to roll out the concept out across 6 more towns. 118 Group plc is well placed to achieve exceptional growth from Fido, we have the infrastructure, the team, the people, the skills and the financial resources in place to make something realty big here”
Daniel Corby continued “Fido is a brand that we feel could be rolled out nationally in due course, and we expect to have around 20 towns launched and covered by May or June 2007”

Recent appointments to the group board have included business veteran, Richard Allan who joins the group as Chairman, having spent a considerable time with Perry Group plc as CEO and Hugh Craen who joins the group as non executive director, having been the founder and MD at Potential Finance Group plc.
