COMMELL LS-570 Powerful 5.25-inch embedded miniboard based on Intel Core Duo

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug. 29, 2006 - Taiwan Commate Computer Inc.(COMMELL), the worldwide leader provider of Single Board Computers, introduced the 5.25" Embedded  Minboard LS-570 with the latest intel Centrino mobile technology 945GM Express  chipset, which supports the intel Core Duo and Core Solo processors, it is enhanced to handle today`s demanding software applications - such as graphics-intensive games or serious number-crunching programs.

COMMELL's  LS-570 miniboard supports for 667MHz Front Side Bus to up to 25% increase in Front Side Bus bandwidth over the previous generation and support for dual channel DDR2 667MHz up to 3GB memory. Integrated 256-bit graphic core running at 400MHz and DirectX 9 3D hardware acceleration, based on Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950(Intel GMA 950) architecture, delivers a 2 times improvement in graphics performance over the previous generation chipset , The integrated display controller comes with up to 2048x1536 resolution for both analog and digital displays, Multiple display types(LVDS,DVI,HDTV,TV-out,CRT), and HDTV 480i/p, 576i/p, 720i/p, 1080i/p display resolution support.

COMMELL's  LS-570 miniboard supports for up to four PCI Express based 10/100/1000 Base-TX Ethernet channels, designed for high-performance and low-memory latency. each of the intel 82573L controllers includes advanced interrupt-handling features and uses efficient ring-buffer descriptor data structures with on-chip caching for up to 64 packet descriptors per queue. Other performance-enhancing features include offloading tasks from the host via TCP/UDP/IP checksum calculations and TCP segmentation. These controllers are supported by Intel SingleDrive technology, which allows one drive to work for all Intel PRO/1000 Gigabit Ethernet connection. Peripherals also include Mini-PCI slot, the Mini-PCI slot is designed to accommodate the most power-hungry expansion card, e.g. Wi-Fi card.

The LS-570 comes with floppy, PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse, 1 x Parallel port, 3 x RS232C and 1 x RS232/422/485, UltraDMA 33 EIDE, SATA and IrDA interface on-board, 6 x USB2.0 ports, AC97 Audio.  Additionally, LS-570 is also equipped with  CompactFalsh Interface for easily using any memory card.
