ECHO is a browser-based digital, VoIP and screen capture recording solution – with an integrated CRM tool – designed to record, evaluate, monitor and archive all customer interactions. The ECHO digital recording solution was first declared compliant in 2003, and each version of ECHO submitted since that time has successfully passed testing via the DeveloperConnection Program at the Avaya Solution and Interoperability Test Lab in Lincroft, N.J. This testing is comprehensively customized to each application and ensures that industry-defining capabilities can be implemented with reduced or no concerns regarding infrastructure and implementation costs.
Avaya has previously awarded Teleformix’s ECHO compliant status with S8700 series and Definity telephony solutions, and this year’s testing resulted in compliance with Avaya’s Communication Manager 3.1 and AES 3.1. When integrated with Avaya Communication Manager 3.1 (Avaya’s industry-leading next generation call processing software), the ECHO digital recording solution becomes an integral part of an enterprise-wide communications infrastructure, expandable for growing businesses and configurable to suit any business structure. ECHO interacts with Avaya’s Application Enablement Services (AES) to receive event reports concerning particular stations, agents, and VDNs, and can use those event reports as recording triggers, allowing for greater flexibility and customization within a full telephony solution. This combination provides a unified CTI solution that is highly scaleable and reliable.
The interoperability compliance testing conducted by Avaya personnel included feature, serviceability, and performance testing. ECHO successfully monitored, recorded, stored, and played back various types of calls, was able to resume recording calls after each failure scenario, and successfully recorded calls under all performance and stress test conditions.
